flourescent bulbs are cheap to light and last a long tie. Only bad thing is some has mercury in them. mercury is not good if it is not disposed of properly.

If you could make an effective bulb out of diodes, that would be the most efficient...otherwise, flourescent.

NO fluoresent is not the most eff. bulb. The most eff. is the new LED bulbs. Very costly to buy and use 1/4 or less power than fluor. blbs.

it may be led, but you can buy 6 - 60 watt compact florscent( they use 13 watts ) @ homer depot for $9.97.
