Can anybody tell me what the Ho Chi Minh Trail is simply, and in their own words. I have written down that it was a trail used for the North to supply the South but it was bombed by the US. But North what and south what? Cambodia or something?

Ho Chi Minh was the leader of North Viet Nam. South Viet Nam was an independant country then and had asked the US for help after France had failed. Even parts of ww2 were fought there.

During the Viet Nam War The US owned the sky. The North VietNamiese Army as well as Viet Cong gorillas had to be supplied.

The HO Chi Minh trail was cut through the jungle and supplied the North in the south of Viet Nam. Not readilly seen untill it was traveled, which was usaully at night.

We tried to cut off this trail many times.

It was named after the leader of the communist north during the Viet nam war. It was a crazy underground tunnel that shipped arms. Also ho chi minh city.

HO CHI MINH TRAIL IS A TUNNEL SYSTEM DUG BY THE VIET CONG FROM NORTH VIETNAM TO SOUTH VIETNAM. THEY WOULD USE IT AS A SUPPLY ROUTE, TRAVEL AS WELL AS HIDING FROM THIER OPPOSITION WHICH WAS THE SOUTH VN AND THE USA.

It was a vast network and not a single "trail". It worked mostly because the majority of it was not allowed to be bombed because Laos and Cambodia turned a blind eye to it being IN their countries and congress wouldn't allow us to bomb it.
