well hes mean , but look at it from his point of view. he has to sit there all day and hear 10,000 people sing like crap and then tell him he doesnt know what hes talking about. and how long in his life has he been doing this? hes probably gone mad from the torture. i know i would! and he cant really quit cuz its all about him, if he wasnt on the show, everyone would get bored and total crack heads would be going to hollywood

I really like him. Many people hate him because of his crude comments, but he's being completely honest.
This is the way i see it..
Simon tells people how it is he doesnt say crap like "continue to follow your dreams" like Paula does, when the person CANNOT since. Simon has a lot of expierence in the buisness he knows who has it, and who doesn't. By being honest Simon is basically saving the nontalented lives. He breaks their hearts yes, but by knowing they cannot sing they now can stop persuing trying to be a singer and move on and do something they will actually succeed in.

Simon is definitely a necessity to the show. A lot of people just plain can't sing and they've been led to believe they can. Simon is the wake up call.

He tries to tell it like it is so the people won't have to be devastated later in the competition. The only problem is that he is only human like everyone else and does and will make mistake's. I'm sure it is hard to see people not get their hopes and dreams realized, the thing is that they chose to do it and are trying.

He is the most honest even though it might seem he is a bit harsh but this year it might be randy who is a bit cruel ever since of what he did to that vocal teacher on the season premire

I dont know what to think, He only says the things he says for the sakeof ratings, but hes usually true.

the thing about simon, is that he is right like 98% of the time, when he says you're bad, but he is just so damn rude about it.

I think he gets it right most of the time. He can be a little harsh...but some of those people really need to give it up.

I think he's great. He can be a little over the top. But really he's just saying what we are all really thinking and would be too scared to say.
