How many more times are you going to ask these same questions? I thought you had decided to go with the 2'' size so you would have that perfect redneck sound? If anyone on here will check your questions from your profile, they will see what I'm talking about. I'm sorry but I already answered the question two times, and you didn't like my answer, but instead choose someone else's answer as best answer. If you will go back to the answers you got before, you will see the correct answer. I hope you don't have a problem with making up your mind, as this could go on for weeks on end. Don't waste peoples time if you aren't going to use their advice. I for one don't like typing some long answer, just to be typing.
Good luck!!!

Engine size, cat converters, and exhaust pipe metal all change the sound of the exhaust note. The same system will sound different on different cars.
Generally, a smaller exhaust diameter will produce the 'high pitched' cackle compared to a larger, but you lose low end torque with larger pipes.

what size engine? if its a V6 or 4 cylinder ur more likely to get a crackel or a popping sound but i have 2 1/2 inch duals on my 5.0 liter V8 and it hasnt popped and ive grown up around cars and its always the V6's that pop. the pipe size shouldn't have anything to do with it

it depends on what type of muffler you have. but a 2 inch exhaust would not give you a crackle sound.
