The 1923 $1.00 silver certificate has three different signature combination. 1. Speelman-White, $47.00 in grade fine,$90.00 in extra fine and $150.00 in crisp uncirculated. 2. Woods-White, same as above. 3. Woods-Tate, $185.00 in grade fine, $375.00 in grade extra fine and $700.00 in crisp uncirculated. These are sell prices, so a dealer of currency pays less. Take it to a currency dealer or a coin dealer who sells both.

The signatures, serial number and the condition of the note will determine its value. The Series of 1923 notes were printed between 1923 and 1928, when these "horseblanket" notes were replaced with the smaller sized notes we're familliar with today. If the note is in crisp, uncirculated condition, it can be worth $100-300. If the first character of the serial number is a star, multiply that by ten.

I did an eBay search and based on condition and signatures on the bill it could be worth $1.00 - $20.00. If the bill is mint condition (looks like it just came from the Fed) you're talking $50 - $80.

I persoanlly think they are very cool in any condition, and it would make a nice keepsake.

Nice find.

despite the thumbs down on trentrock he is correct. I have seen the star notes go over a $1000 dollars but they are in crisp unused condition.the one in the link is very used and they want a hundred dollars for it.
