We supplied people with the stop smoking patchs,gum and or Pills ? I know they have people who they can talk to on the phone
but we are talking about an addictive drug here I'm not sure that just talk is the anser. What do you think? Or do we just let them DIE?

i agree if i got free gum in the mail i might consider stopping smoking

No I don't think that would help. Half the battle for a smoker is wanting to quit, and most don't. I didn't. I really enjoyed it even though I knew how bad it was for me. I wished that I wanted to quit but I didn't.
In the end, the only reason I ended up quitting (via the cold turkey approach) was because I had a reason to quit - i.e smoking was preventing me from achieving a goal I had set. The only reason a smoker will quit, I believe, is because they will have a good enough reason to do so.

that's a big problem. if the solution to have you quit was not twice the cost of the cigarettes, i would quit. all the stop smoking talk in the world and how bad it is for me is not going to help. i have a addiction that is as bad as heroin, but is legal.

more people would stop smoking if it was free to quit with physical help ie patches. You should run for president. very intelligent question

Eh, people should just quit cold turkey, it worked for me.. now if only I could quit chocolate that easily :)
