one should never call it quits when there are problems, with each problem, if we wait and stay regardless of how we feel, we grow in our marriage. one should only leave the marriage for reasons of abuse, and adultery. people bail out, break commitments, run from troubles, only to find out their new relationship has the same things in it.

Yes, people bail to easily. What ever happened to kissing and making up or trying to work things out?

My husband wants out after 1 fight and we've only been married since Sept..... it's just not right that couples use divorce as an out for a fight.

Good luck and take care.

Yes I certainly think that people run from their problems and get Divorced way too easily. They feel that they are not getting out of the marriage what they want instead of facing these issues and problems head on and trying to resolve them.

The ONLY instance where I would say divorce is the only answer is if there is physical abuse.

Yes definitely. People these days don't seem to want to work at fixing the problems in their marriage. They are just too lazy and choose to throw something away rather than fix it. Communication is a huge problem in our society these days or should l say lack of. Perhaps if a little more effort was put into fixing our problems, the divorce rate would plummet dramatically.

Yes i sure do.... I feel that it is too easy to get divorced for any reason today and this is not right at all... I feel the only time you call it quits is because tehre is no saving to the marriage after you have done everything in your power and with counseling to save it... I feel the only reasons for divorce are severe abuse, adultery and if the person wants out and is not pleased to dwell with you....

maybe they get married too fast.....
I do think that people give in really easy. I think that any relationship takes a lot of work and effort to keep it lasting. I think that people should try all options before getting divorced. I suppose though, sometimes people just know it won't work..which brings us back to don't get married.
I have a child with my boyfriend, and people keep saying when are you guys gonna get married? I tell them, when we're ready because I don't want to be divorced. We still have a lot of work to do on our relationship before we take that step.

I do think people get divorced too quickly and for the wrong reasons. Just because someone doesn't make enough money, or give you enough sex, doesn't mean you leave them. You don't marry people for money or sex and nowadays it seems to be rampant. If someone beats you, or cheats on you, or is abusive in any way, then you leave. Otherwise I think that things could be worked out if people wouldn't be so quick to leave.

A study done at the university of calgary found that couples who were told to stick it out for a year, found that they were all still together and happy five years later. Divorce only makes money for lawyers and counsellors...

I think people get MARRIED to quickly. Divorce should be easy. Marriage should be a tremendous effort.

i dont think people should divorce at all unless there was cheating or abuse involved. besides that, marriage is supposed to be a lifelong commitment no matter what happens, good or bad.
