It's true. Oil prices just slipped below $54 a barrel from nearly $70 this summer. It doesn't have to do with just the Democrats taking control, it's that and the oil companies coming to their senses with all this 'scary talk' (to them) about alternate energy sources. It's good for the conusmer and the oil companies, but bad for green energy supporters!

I agree, it's you.

Gas prices are falling because it's winter time and people don't travel as much.

Example:
no travel = $0 revenue = low gas prices
lots of travel = $$$$ revenue = high gas prices

Everybody has to make money somehow so they take it from the little guy that should be investing instead of going on vacation

It's not just you - it's all of us who have the sense to see that we're only 20 days into the new rule (Go Democrats!), and the prices have dropped! Mid-grade went down 32 cents /gallon in the last 2 days in my neighborhood (from $2.29 to $1.97).

Do you believe that somehow the Democrats control OPEC? Oil has dropped, but it has nothing to do with who has control of the US House or Senate.

It's you. The price had already significantly dropped before the election. And since Democrats have already promised to sock it to "Big Oil", the price will go up before too long.

It's you. The gas in my neck of the woods has only gone down a few pennies. It's still averaging $2+ a gallon.
