A theory says that a big meteor hit the earth spreading a big cloud of dust that stopped the sun rays to penetrate the atmosphere. The dinosaurs were cold blooded as all reptiles, the sun wasn't able to go throw the dust cloud so they couldn't get warm up and when a reptile don't get warm up they become lazy and slower; also because of this many plant couldn't do the photosynthesis and started to die, vegetarians dinosaurs didn't find what to eat so they starved to dead, the carnivores didn't find what to eat either because the vegetarians were dying by millions too, so carnivores starved to dead too. This is the nature's chain and when one thing affects one specie the other ones get affected too.

ME!!!!! No really, a meteor hit in what is now the Gulf of Mexico. The shockwaves and firewaves killed many of the dinosaurs while the dust that floated throughout the atmosphere killed the rest as climates changed drastically.

they say asteroid/meteor...but....that only took out about a fifth of the entire dinosaur population at that time....then what happened to the other 4/5s? The dust in the air lowered temperatures, blocked out the sun, no heat and light for the plants, herbivores die, then the carnivores die off....and soon the rest of the dinos all die out

People can't decide. Some say it was an ice age, others believe it may have been an astroid. There are actually evidence supporting both ideas. You have to decide what to believe. People tend to use evidence that fits their theories, instead of forming opinions based on the evidence.

I think they were on the decline because of the reduction in earths airborne oxygen (from 30% downwards). The asteroid gave them the coup de grace.

http://www.space.com/scienceastronomy/solarsystem/dark_matter_000718.html Dark Matter. It's a discovery that scientists have now been able to measure. So, this is a rather sophisticated explanation to the mass extinction when you read the article, don't you think?
