Even after using Pro Active, I still have acne. Of course, some of the acne has gone away. But my skin isn't clear yet, it still has acne, marks, stains, etc? What can I do / use / buy, to make my skin clear?

I bought every possible product and what I found was that no single product has the ability to completely clear acne, since it comes from so many sources. Acne is caused by genes, stress, diet, excercize and several other factors, and no one change, be it in diet or cream, can address all of those issues.
I read a book http://bambiberg.acnefree.hop.clickbank.net/ that really made me understand this, and when I finally used the correct combination of lifestyle changes, my acne disappeared in just a few days. However, do not get this book, if you are not willing to follow through. Change is hard, I am the first to admit, but the payoff is awesome, because I am acne free.

You will probably have to go to a dermatologist to get rid of the acne scars. Sometimes severe acne can leave scaring especially if you pick at your break outs, but there are people who can help with that, I'm sure it's expensive, but I've seen them do a lot w/ skin on makeover shows and it's worth it.

NATURAL ACNE PROTOCOL
1/ Never, ever touch your face.
2/ Use 3 facecloths to wash your face, one to soap on, one to soap off with very hot water, one to rinse off with ice cold water, in that order, once a day.
3/ If you are under 18 take 5,000 IU of vitamin A once a day with a full meal
4/ If you are over 18 take 5,000 IU of vitamin A twice a day with a full meal.
Do not get pregnant while taking vitamin A. Do not take any more, like Accutane, it will stop you growing.
5/ Never, ever. pick, squeeze or pop your spot. Read number 1 again.
6/ Do this for 90 days.
7/ Invest in a brand new pillow and 2 new or more pillow cases to double bag' your pillow. HOT wash every couple of days.

A bit of advice given to me as a teenager, a bit of science as I am studying allergic reactions and vitamin A is a part of that. A bit of research: I sat in a lecture at the back and watched the acne prone pick at their faces, those with the worse acne touched their faces 32 times in an hour, the clearest complexions didn't touch their faces even once. I have circumstantial evidence that acne is the result of dermatophyte transfer from hands to face...where it does not get washed off and is well fed by hormones, sweat a
nd oil...just a hypothesis... But it would explain why vitamin A is so effective as vitamin causes skin to remove dermatophytes.

The secret is never to touch the spots

Tips on how to treat acne and achieve perfect clear skin in as little as 7 days?

My father has a product for acne that is quickly spreading across the country through many dermatologists.

Here is a link to the brochure http://www.dusapharma.com/pdf/MKT-1257_Rev%20A_Acne_Patient_01.pdf

It deals with blue light technology.. blah blah blah- highly effective, it is as effective as acutane minus the side effects. It is pretty expensive and requires a few treatments however you should see results after the first time. You should only use this if you have a SEVERE case of acne.

Also if that does not work then you can go to http://www.dusapharma.com/patient_brochures.html# and click on acne patient brochure.

ProActiv doesn't work, according to what I hear. If you see a dermatologist (although any doctor can prescribe this), they will likely prescribe minocycline/tetracycline and/or Retin-A Micro. I have found that both are extremely effective, although expect the acne to worsen for a few days while the medication takes effect. If the case is extremely bad, there are stronger medications available, but it's mostly trial and error, finding what is right for you.

i'm having the same problem! i've always had perfect skin, but when i turned 25 i started breaking out a lot. it could be a hormone thing. if no OTC products are working for you, try going to a dermatologist. i too started using proactiv, my skin cleared, but then the acne came back. i sometimes alternate products, suck as clinique step 2 toner, and a different cleanser. proactiv says not too, but i find that it has helped a little bit.

I didn't have GREAT results either! Now I use Cetaphil to wash and Clean & Clear Toner afterwards. Seems to be helping! I have to mention diet though..if you eat a lot of junk, regardless of what they say, it makes your skin look like crap! Eat healthy, it WILL help! Take care!
