Hello folks, I need a workout list to bulk up for basketball and possibly increase my vertical jump. I'm now a guard so yeah, I need to increase my jump to finish in the lane more and grab more rebounds in pick up games. I'm rather fast already so speed isn't an issue.

On a side note, I have 15 pounds to gain

Thank you in advance for your help....

Strength shoes. These things work. My college team did off season workouts with them and the least amount of vert increase was 3-4 inches. Improves quickness too. (no, you can never be too quick).

About 100 buck and 3 months, 3 days a week... cut back to once a week during ghe season.

I'm 6-2 and can still bam on people at 32 years old. ( and no, I don't work for them)

Do a lot of jumping exercises: calve raises, leap ups, and squat jumps. And do actually jump as hard as you can when you play basketball, so your legs get more accustomed to the jumping and it will remember. To increase your bulk, lift more and eat protein. Haha. Make sure you continue running, so you don't lose speed from bulking up...

Consistent stretching is great, but also try wearing some ankle weights and playing like you normally would in pickup games. Wear them for 3 months and take them off when you play in league games. You will notice adiffernece and does not cost much money.
