Oh, I thought you meant the fuzzy critter you couldn't feed after midnight.

Yes, especially the 8-cylinder, 5.0 liter. It's sad that the Gremlin gets grouped with crappy cars like the AMC Pacer, the Ford Pinto, or the Nova. All the negative stuff you hear is from people who don't know what they are talking about. Sure it looks strange, it was designed by taking a full length car, and cutting the back end off. That was AMC's easy way to quickly get an economy car into production. The Gremlin was a quality vehicle.

Well I just did- an RC version of the one I literally owned in highschool.
1976 Lime green with zebra seat covers adn a Garfield in the window.
It was a great car, it was standard and no one wanted to bug me or wanted me to take them anywhere. I was driving at 15.
The gas mileage was wonderful and I never lost it in a parking lot.
I did get a stereo for it, it was only an AM.

Dude- I loved that car till the day it died. No joke.
When they recalled the Ford Pinto, then AMC freaked out and stopped making parts for the Pacer and Gremlin too. Then AMC croked, so I sold it for $100, basically for parts to a guy.

Sure I was teased- but the guy that owed the MG covert, always riding with me- enough said!
