Hmm, I had an emachine that I bought and used for 5 years, so, in my opinion, emachines do NOT suck.. However, if your computer doesn't have the capabilities that your business requires, that is not the computer's fault.. when buying a new computer, make sure you take into account just what you intend to do with that computer.. then buy accordingly, ie, big enough hard drive, enough ram to keep your speed up, and the size monitor that you need to keep you from going blind while using it.
You didn't tell us who helped you decide what type of computer to buy, nor did you tell us if you have an IT person for your business. Most machines will do the job they are bought for, IF they are equipped properly.

Emachines computers are usually OK, but they are low end and customer service leaves a lot to be desired. You have learned you get what you pay for. When companies sell for cheap they don't make enough profit to afford good customer service. When you buy from a reputable company like Dell, Gateway or HP you get the power of the company.

I bought my first eMachine when I knew absolutely nothing about computers. During the learning process, I abused that machine like no one could imagine. It took the lickin I heaped on it and kept on tickin. Based on that experience, I bought a new eMachine with more capabilities and it's just humming right along, no problem. Sorry to hear about yours.

Yah, eMachines are pretty crappy. Check out HP or Dell, some pretty good deals going on there.

BTW PCWorld.com has some pretty good ratings if you're in the market for a new computer...I'd consult them before you buy again.
