I would have to go with the 18-1 ,1984 49'ers - If I remember correctly they are the only NFL team since the merger to finish #1 on both offense and defense.

"Modern Day" "Modern Day" what the heck does that mean. They have been playing professional NFL football since 1916,prior to that try the 1890's--is that antique"antique". Best pro teams the Bears in the 30's, 40's had the war and all mixed up,50's the Brown, 60's Green Bay, 70's Dallas, 80's Steeler and 49er's.
90's parity and all mixed up again, 00's Patriots.
Most Championships since 1916--Green Bay, 2nd, Chicago Bears.
All Championship games are "Super Bowl Games". Do not mess with the English language. There is not anything more "super"now about the championship game than years ago. Oh, yes, one big difference I forgot about--it takes 3 total hours now to play an one and half hour game. Not sure that's super?/!

No team in 1985 could have beaten the Bears, the Fish got lucky that year, that was a fluke. It only took one play for them to lose a chance of a undefeated season. They were pretty full of themselves at that point, and you know they wished they had that one back. When it came down to business they were money!

85 Bears w/o a doubt. The 46 defense was revolutionary and the offense with Mac and Walter were pretty damn good themselves.

2003-04 Patriots. They hold the alltime consecutive wins record with 21, and 34 out of 37. Plus they have Tom Brady, the best QB ever.

After the salary cap there is no question it's the patriots..... the "hoodie" has continuously lost talent to free agency and they have always been contenders.
