I wish this could have happened. I dream of this type of a phone. bcos it's save a lot of your battery power. you can just switch it off and keep. when ever you get a call it'll automatically switch on and recieve the call.

But my dear in reality there's no such phone in the market yet. so the answer to your question is NO

On my Sprint PPC 6700, when the phone is off, and then I turn it on, I will not have any record of who called when the phone was off, except if they left a voice mail. All phones are different. But your phone will not ring nor will get any notification whatsoever if it is off.

I think what you really mean can you still get a incoming call notice when you phone is off, and the answer is yes.(at least that is what i hope you mean). It still recieves calls when it is off, but you get a staus "missed call" when you turn it back on. Hope that hopes..

Your voice mail can, but not the phone. The phone won't log the call, but you can hear your messages.

There's no reason that they can't program phones to register caller info even when off - they just don't want to bother.
