Yes, Cephalexin (keflex) is safe during pregnancy. They will try macrobid fist, and then Keflex if you can't tolerate the macrobid. I believe my dosage was 500 mg four times a day for seven days. But i get them so often, i had to be on Keflex for the remainder of my pregnancy (four months).
Make sure you take ALL of it, or you could end up with pyelonephritis (kidney infection) and you'll feel a lot worse (nausea, vomiting, back pain, etc)
Just take the meds and drink lots of water!~!

I'm also on anti-biotics, but for my absess tooth. They will make you sick to your stomach, especially if you don't take them w/ food. They are safe during pregnancy; not treating the UTI can cause lots of problems, so the benefits outweigh the risks of taking the anti-biotics.
They changed the type I was taking b/c I started to develop a rash. I have to take them 4 times a day! Also, don't take them w/ milk. This can affect the absorbtion.
