i lost the disc so went back to Curry store where i bought it for a spare one but the staff there say they have no spare disc and ask me to download from lexmark.co.uk .....but been browsing for hours and seems lexmark.co.uk has nothing about downloading the software..

This lexmark site may help. It has an auto detection facility that will trace the drivers etc that you need...good luck

go to lexmark main site locate the download catagory and you should find what you need. you may have to use the world site or the us site, but the drivers are there.
you may need to go to support to find the downloads.
