The reason why I cannot just replace my wired router with my wireless router is that my dad has very strong security concerns. I am trying to connect my Netgear wpn824 wireless router with a d-link wired router. If I use the CD that came with the router, I am just told to replace the wired router with the wireless router and, as mentioned earlier, that is not an option. I have been searching Netgear's website and other websites for instructions on how to set up such a configuration and I can't find any instructions. Is this configuration possible?

You connect an ethernet cable from one of the ports (either one of the ports or the uplink port) on your Dad's wired router to the WAN of your wireless router. Make sure your wireless router (if you use DHCP) generates different IP addresses for each computer connected to it than your Dad's wired router.

yep
real simple
you need one patch cat 5 cable
all you have to do is connect the wireless router to the wired one by a cat 5 cable
just connect them together
it should work fine

did you just try connecting the wired router to the internet and connected the wireless router to the wired? seems like it would work.
