Wireless connection....works fine with AC power. The second I disconnect and go to battery power, my connection speeds drop to almost nothing. Pages will not load etc.... I am in the same room and have tried connecting solely with battery power and starting with AC and then disconnecting the AC. Always the same result. Any Suggestions out there???????????

Induction from charging the battery is amplifying the signal to the antenna. Try this with a radio or stereo at home. Unplug the antenna. Notice how the sound deteriorates? Now, touch the antenna connections with your fingers. See how the sound improves? Your body acts like an antenna, amplifying signal strength. the AC adapter induces a magnetic field around the battery that amplifies radio signals from the wireless router.

Fixes: Move your laptop closer to the wireless router. Move the wireless router closer to the laptop. The antenna wires on the router are broken/disconnected - fix or replace. the antenna on the wireless card in the laptop is broken/disconnected - fix or replace

Hello there,

common problem when trying to save power.

You will probably have to dig around a bit, but you can find this.

Go into Network Connections, right click on your wireless connection, select properties.

You will have to configure your adaptor. Select "configure" you need to look around for your power management settinga sn make sure it is disabled or turned all the way up to highest!

Make sure that power settings do not affect your wireless connection, or you will get what you get.
