How To Tell If Your Spouse Is Cheating Divorce
Headquarters

By Joseph Ryan, Private Investigator
Director of Washington Research Associates

Cheating spouses provide much of the work and income of most private investigators, and every PI has developed his list of "tell tale signs of a cheating spouse."

Here's a list derived (with permission) from articles by private detectives Bob Brown and Edmund J. Pankau, and female private detective Victoria Frelow of Scotland Yard Investigations (no, it's not that Scotland Yard).

Note that though I've phrased these points in terms of the husband as the cheater, most also apply when it's the wife who's cheating.

From Bob Brown --
1- At the beginning of an affair, the husband may actually be more affectionate than usual due to guilt feelings.

2- Later, after the affair has been going on awhile, he often starts finding fault with the wife as a defensive mechanism (i.e., to justify the affair in his mind).

3- Cheating husbands often lose interest in domestic activities, such as spending time with the kids, fixing up the house, lawn care, etc.

If things are that bad you should just break it off before you cheat. There is no point in dragging things along. If you still "love" the person go to counseling when you feel things are getting bad and you are feeling tempted to cheat. It's not fair or nice to do that to someone. Get help before you hurt each other. If you're already cheating you need to tell them and face the consequences. They may not want to be with you anymore. If they do it's going to be a lot of work. Being cheated on hurts more than you can imagine, and if you do know how much it hurts you should know better. Good luck and learn from your mistakes.

If your NOT making love to him, that is the first thing they start to accuse YOU of because they have probably done it with someone else and if they get you mad enough they will feel like they had every right to screw around because you won't make love to them whenever they want to .I had an EX who wanted to make love every night even if I was sick. Now thats creepy so eventually I found out that he was getting it on with a 19 year old that lived 2 hours away. I felt that 3 nights a week were sufficent especially when you have 2 small children to take care of and work 40 hours a week outside the home. My God whats wrong with some of them men? I mean assholes not men. Take care of yourself cause sometimes we are all we got.

Those could be signs of cheating. Those are definately signs that something is wrong. Either you and he have trust issues that need to be worked out or he is a controlling type. Either way, you need to talk to him about his behavior and decide if you want to continue the relationship. It is possible that these are the first signs of a person who will abuse you later.

They very well can be, they say a guilty person has a guilty mind.

But they could just be signs of an insecure person also who is just looking for reassurance in there relationship.

Only your heart will really tell you what is going on in this situation, as you know the person and have lived with them.

Yup-All true and I agree with some of the other answers you've got. Watch for it. All these things are going to get worse and he will start to ignore you. Never want to be around you or do anything with you. I would just call him out on the carpet for it!

well maybe ....maybe he is feeling guilty of cheating and maybe not maybe he is feeling very insecure usually if he is cheating on you he would come home late ignore you and be very distant from you...he would make up reasons to be away from you ....oh you would be able to tell but if you feel he is cheating on you well usually our in-stints tell us good luck take care it sounds like he is unsecured with your marriage seek counseling for the both of you so all that accusing can stop
