Me and my husband owns a 1989 Chevy s-10 Blazer. I thought there was an owners manual in the glove box but can not find it. We are expecting out first child and were looking on how to install the car seat properly. Can anyone tell me how to do so or where I can find the information from the owners manual that will tell us this?

If you go to your locale fire company they will show you how to install it properly.

You can usually go to your local Fire Department and they can help.

It won't have the "newer" hooks in the seat so you'll have to look for either a place on the back of the seat (the bottom where it bolts to the round) that can be used as an anchor (it'll be very apparent) or there will be one at the back of the Blazer near the gate. If not, you'll have to visit your dealership and get the anchor bolt and ask them where to install it. Once you have that the silver belt on the car seat (the one that goes over the top of the carseat) hooks to the anchor bolt. Then you pass the should belt "THROUGH" the back of the car seat (not behind it but there will be a hole between where the childs back is and the actual back of the seat). Put the belt through there and buckle it. Tighten as much as you can (put you rknee down on the car seat while pulling the seat belt tight).

Once the seat belt is tight you'll have to use the little metal "clasp" for the seat belt (to keep both the lap belt and shoulder belt parts together). This will go on the opposite side from the actual belt buckle.

It can be very confusing without actull showing someone. Good luck

Actually, the best thing to do is go to your local firestation and they will show you how to do it for free.
Our local fire stations often have "car seat day" where they do just that, but I know they will do it if you walk in too.

CONGRATS on your baby!! :)
