i think they are both overated crap

A touch of slapstick seems to be very popular in America. Not so much here in the UK.
So therefore the two are made differently to suit relative audiences.
So the British would probably say the British one was better, and the Americans would say their version is better.

Though this might not apply to everyone, I think you'll find that this is generally the case.

I'm British and the American Office is better by far!!!

Americans are much better at making pathetic TV.

They are both very funny, if u are educated enough to understand the humour. The american version is funny, it has a few twists compared to english, but some episodes are hilarious.
