Even the small college towns can only have a few blocks here & there that cater to mostly college students. Chicago is a bit more spread out.
Usually a few blocks around a campus is mostly students.
But who wants to hang out with just college students? Businesses and apartments that cater to college students usually rip them off. The smart college kids when I was a college student went to live way off campus, even in trailer parks to save on rent. Townies rock!

There's a lot of UIC students living around Western and Harrison, but be careful out there. The area between the two UIC campuses does have a lot of UIC students, but it's not dominated by them.
You can also try the south campus area.

There are neighborhoods around Loyola, DePaul, Northwestern, North Park, and even Northeastern that have college students living in them but I wouldn't say they are dominated by students. They are much like the UIC area.

Why don't you ask around at school, where people live? A lot of students live in my neighborhood, on the near north side, but mostly from Loyola and DePaul.

I don't think the problem is that there is no choice in what college you go to, or that there are no options for reading the Conservative side of issues. The problem is that the liberal colleges and liberal media dominate our country and the majority of Americans are unaware that they are getting a slanted, distorted view of reality. That is why we complain.
