Yes, it can promote it..... but only if it is a baby. that will get the maternal instincts going..... uh.... if it is another adult, then it gets OTHER things going, and can actually CREATE kids, thereby producing milk at the end of the pregnancy...

Yes... but it won't happen during regular intercourse! I induced lactation when we adopted our son. He was four months old, and there were very serious concerns about his being able to learn to trust (see www.attach.org for a discussion of Reactive Attachment Disorder). We co-slept, wore him continually in a baby sling, and breast fed. We had to use a supplemental nursing system with formula until my milk came in, and it took 14 days. Of course, I also had to use an electric breast pump every two hours, and it wasn't what I would rate as "feels good". We had a lot of support from our La Leche mentor. The article below talks about surrogate nursing. HTH - Aubrey

Technically yes. Prolonged stimulation causes the mammary glands to produce milk. Males have the same glands and with enough stimulation can also produce milk. Sounds unbelievable but it's true, I have some 'naturalist friends' who tried it, and there are websites out there for it. I personally think 'yuck' but then again my boyfriend has hairy nipples. ;)

No; breast milk production requires the presence of certain hormones that are produced after giving birth, as well as stimulation of the nipples.

NO. Just before birth, last trimester, your body starts to secrete oxytocin, which starts the lactation process.
