Anti-Semitism and Terrorism on the Internet:
New Threats
An Interview with Rabbi Abraham Cooper
Anti-Israel and/or Anti-America
"Similarly, in the U.S., the main forces of the anti-war movement, remnants of Marxists and Trotskyites, are wearing a new cloak. One of the main organizing groups, ANSWER, supports the Palestinian refugees' ‘right of return' and focuses on demonizing Israel. They have a number of links to virulently anti-Israel sites on their website.
"Thus far, the anti-Israel forces on U.S. campuses are frustrated at their inability to ignite the grass-roots support which some of their colleagues have won in Europe. They are, however, consistently shopping for other ways to hook up with mainstream American political dissent.
"This mixed array of forces also includes some who rioted a few years ago in Seattle against the World Trade Conference. The so-called ‘Th

Just my opinion, the news is not fake. They are however, inaccurate of reporting the full story. The internet does play a part on what people think, I feel, because many people know people on the internet and chat with them daily. Some people feel that the internet is a community they have joined. Its very dillusional of them at times when they get so involved with the internet and use the internet basically as their social life. There are alot of computer addicts out there. However, there are people who just browse for information on the internet just for basic information. People need to wake up about news period. They need to wake up about advertisements. This basically comes down to. What should you believe and what shouldn't you believe. Not everyone is educated enough to know if they are being duped by certain things in our Society. I say, never trust what you read until you really research it. Always question what you read and ask yourself if it seems logical. If everyone would do that with the news, they would find that alot of their stories do not seem logical. I suggest they do that with anything they read. Question it and always ask. "DOES THIS SEEM LOGICAL"? Never take things at face value.

Generally, I do not like my news coated and spoon fed. Nor do I get all of my news from one network.
I watch BBC world news, PBS, McNeil Lehrer News Hour, CNN, Fox, MSNBC, Euronews, C-span, etc. I also read Businessweek as well as other magazines and periodicals.
It's amazing how much spin there is in the news and to what length an American has to go to in order to actually get the truth.
I simply take sift my news for the truth.
It is the only way.

No doubt. With mysterious timing (HR 1?) suddenly less sites are accessible online to military personnel using government supplied servers. There is nothing "subversive" about terroristwarning.com but it does report on all suspicios and known terror related incidents globally from all kinds of news sources. One recent incident was teh explosions in Iran last wednesday and thursday that never made the news in the USA for some reason. The three explosions thursday were reportedly a mine field being cleared in the southwest border region of Iran, a leftover from teh Iran-Iraq war. But last wednesday's explosion was slightly larger on the seismic graph than the North Korean underground nuclear explosion. Iranian news explained it was a UFO crash. Witnesses who felt/heard it got on their cellphones or internet and reported it to sources in Isreal. It has since disappeared from the USGS earthquake maps, and just a few days ago it was announced that all data from government agencies will have to be "reviewed" before being disclosed to the public, supposedly at White House request, but they answer to Congress? There is unquestionably an effort in the last week or so to limit the info. you can get online. Did you know that radiation sensors installed in Kiev, Ukraine, since Chernobyl showed a surge of radiation the last week of the year and a small spike again on Wed. Jan. 3? Again no mention in the news or online other than an automatic reporting website. But then when Three Mile Island in PA released radiation back in 1979, officials lied through their teeth because they didn't want us to "panic". They know better than us, they know what is good for us, and what we do or don't need to know. It proves the old saying: "A government that can do anything for you, can do anything TO you."

No, The internet is a very unreliable source of news unless you get that news from the Associated Press, or an established news source off the web. But both of them are commonly used on CNN and FOX. As much as i hate the spin they have, they are still a decient source of news just be sure to take a look at other sources hopefully then you can get a less biased info

What makes Internet news any more "fake" or "real" than TV news? The same BS that they shovel out on Fox News and CNN is also very prevalent on the Internet.

How do you know which news is real and which is fake. Americans have been undergoing a 20 year dumbing down period, where they don't know their rear ends from a hole in the ground. If you're claiming to know what you profess, do enlighten the rest of us and give us your references.

Seriously, to me, it is pretty sad that we have already established biased opinions on NEWS CHANNELS.
The news is NEWS (REPORTING) and should be impartial. Both sides can save their political opinions for the Sunday talk shows, but please, do we really have to label our news channels because they lean towards a certain political bias. WE DO, but we shouldn't have too....I just want honest news on what happened, not some guy throwing liberal/conservative propaganda into it every 5 secs...

No, some people don't have such fears. On the contrary, the Internet, by its very nature, is an open feast of both good and bad analysis and reporting of current events.
As usual, it's up to the individual to decide.
And that's the way it should be.
