With my old version of Windows Media Player I could synchronize the songs onto the PSP, I just had to hook it up. But now it won't detect my PSP, is this new version not compatible with a PSP? I've also tried dragging & dropping music from the Media Player into my music folder in my PSP, but it won't allow me to drag & drop. How do I get music into my PSP now that I have this new version of Windows Media Player?

Plug the psp into your PC using a usb cable. Then On your pc open MY Computer.
Your music will be found on the pc in drive C:/
Make sure you save your music to my music folder on C:/ Then goto my computer:
Go to the psp drive (F: or whatever your computer calls it) Open psp file then open Music. Copy the music from your pc and paste them into this file. Music supported are MP3 or .wma (.wma only can be used if you have received an update and activated it on line from sony. Use your wifi to get update. Note: PSP must be fully charged before getting updates.)

I have a PSP and had the same problem. You could go to Wal-Mart or somewhere and buy Media manager software, but you probably don't want to spend any money and already have a way to put videos on your PSP. The only thing I could do to figure out how to get music on/off the PSP was to plug in the USB, then go to My Computer and find whichever drive the PSP is in. Double Click it and it should open a file with 2 folders in it. Double click the one that says something about PSP in the name. There will be several folders in this one, unless your memory card is completely and is brand new. If it isn't new there will probably be a folder that says music or something similar on it. If there isn't, make one by right clicking in the window and selecting new, then folder. Go to the file/folder your music is in and highlight whatever you want to put on the PSP. After that, go back to the Music folder on the PSP and paste it. Close the folder and check your PSP to make sure it is on it. If it doesn't work you may need to get a program to do it with, but it worked on mine.

Hope this helps.

You have one hope, a linux server, you need to buy a linux server. It will connect your system onto the computer, there, you can burn the songs onto your PSP. Linux servers are pretty hard to get, but you can find it for, a reasonable price. Or, you could just get a CD, or MP3 player, and burn the CD or load it onto the system.
