How much weight did you gain? I have gained 17 lbs. and am 20 weeks. Do you usually gain most of the weight towards the end?

I've gained about 20 lbs and I'm 21 weeks along. This is my second pregnancy. I gained 60 lbs w/ my first, so I think I've actually gained less weight this time. You are supposed to gain one pound a week during the second and third trimesters. Total weight gain recommended is 25-35 lbs. Lots of women gain more; not to worry as long as the weight gain isn't excessive.

I gained most of my weight near the end with both pregnancys..With my first I gained 60 lbs! With my second I gained 40 lbs,Now im on my third and hope I dont gain that much with this one but I just know I will (big babies run in family)..anyways,u still have some time left..just remember if u do end up gaining a lot u can lose it pretty easily after the birth if u breastfeed *does wonders*..

Good luck with that. Both times through, I gained about 65 pounds. I started out at barely 100, so that was insane to me! It was hard to drop it all after wards, but not impossible! My weight gain stayed consistent. It did vary on my diet, and there was one month in particular that I was eating more than I should have....BUT, typically, the closer to the end of the pregnancy you get, the less weight you gain. Hope that this helps!!
