No, I don't like it when I have to breathe stale cigarette smoke.

I personally think it is a good thing, and I myself used to smoke (I still enjoy a cigarette every now and then). Even then, I don't like other people's smoke in my face. If people were allowed to smoke inside, it would make the interior of the room very unpleasant for non-smokers. Even in places where one would not find children (e.g. bars, strip clubs) banning smoking there is also beneficial to the employees of those establishments. It makes the environment a little better.

One is free to smoke outside on the street, or in one's car or home. So the law is not too restrictive, and is quite reasonable. There are places that have considered laws that ban smoking on the street; that is rather extreme.

I smoke but on the other end I can not stand the stench of tobacco... it stinks and sticks to everything made of matter and causes massive damage to human beings and animals. Now if there is going to be a toss up between smoking and chewing tobacco (which will definately open up a whole new can of worms) then I would have to vote for the intrusion of the former bad habit.
I can just hear already the cries of legislation to ban all use of the new trend of chewing tobacco.
My vote is leave it be or ban it nationally...

Thats a law where I live. You also have to be 50 feet from a public entrance as well.
As far as smoking in bars, clubs, seedy restauraunts, coffee shops, I don't see it as a problem, you kind of should expect that, but like... Places where kids and elderly frequent is a little much.

That's been the law where I live since '99
It's great, in fact it's the reason I quit.
you'll get used to it, and your clothes don't smell like smoke when you get home from the bar
