Your IP address is an assigned address to your PC from your server, your browser will have no affect on it.

Yes you can. With internet explorer and firefox, you can connect to something called a proxy server. The proxy server will act as a computer in the middle of the connection to the webserver.

I suggest a website like www.proxy4free.com or something similiar. I know that with internet explorer you need to go Tools>internet options and then select the tab connections. Then click on a little box called LAN settings. Then you will see a little area on the next box where it says proxy server. Enter the IP address and the port of the proxy server (80). Then you need to disable Javascript and cookies on your browser. This will hide your ip but depending on the proxy server, your internet connection may slow down alot. This is the same with firefox.

If you also want to hide your ip address, I suggest using a web browser called torpark. This works like P2P program but it uses SSL to encrypt your connection.Your ip address will be hidden and change approx. every 30 secs when browsing websites. You also dont need to install it onto your computer. Just extract the zip file and away you go.No need to install

While it's certainly true that the Boys In The Back Room can always tell where you are, most people can't, at least not in any details.

The only ways to run with two IP numbers at the same time are to use two different connections, or to run through a proxy site... and that makes most operators decidely wary..

What a lot of site operators WILL do, though, is take a look at your mutliple connections to their site and realise that there are two or more of you with the same IP... and this is generally seen as a no-no. I routinely boot people doing this from my sites, since there can be no good reason for pretending to be more than one person at the same time.

No, no matter what you use or how many you use the ip address will stay the same. Although there are a couple of things you can do to eliminate the tracking of your computer. Such as get an ip blocker. Hide Ip platinum works pretty well and you can easily torrent it.

The only way to do this would be to connect each one using a different proxy server. As standard aything on your PC would show the same IP address

nope. your IP is determined by your ISP (either static or.. ummm I forgot the word lol). If you want to hide your IP set up a proxy. Go to http://www.proxy4free.com. There, you will find a list of hundreds of proxies you can use. Pick one that works for you and set your browser to use it. Setting it up depends on what browser your using.
Search google on how to use proxies for more info.

not unless you have developed a plugin for each browser that connects to a different virtual public network that can masks your ip... but again, in the end it could be traced back anyways.

No. Your IP address is always the same, no matter how many browers you open up.
