This was what i found on a page here, i mean thats NOT PRIDE, its full on arrogance, "always right" what about slavery? "Win all wars" What about Vietnam? These kind of people make me sick, now americans look at this guy and tell me thats not right, i hope you are NOT ALL Uneducated like this person.

Feel better? I think it could be a combination of both, but fortunately it is just some Americans as you pointed out.
I am a citizen and I do not agree that this country is always right. We are not the best in education and we have no national health system. Our poor are left to their own devices far too often. We had slavery.
But, I believe that we are improving.
We do have many civil liberties that are awesome. I would not trade my freedoms to live in any other country. American people may be a little selfish, but we are good people at heart.
Can other countries claim that they do not have the same nationalistic ideas? Are the citizens of other countries better than the citizens of the US simply based on where they were born?

you seem to be one of those people we are told at a young age to stay away from....why you ask?
You're obviously a very close minded individual who has not really done your homework, furthermore what makes you think anyone is always right....and Americans being the Hardest wORKING...HAHA...I was born and raised here but let me tell you if you walked into the highest level of college classes, the majority ethnic race is anything but American....we are lazy, face it.....are we better than anyone else? Realistically speaking, wake up sweet-pea we are only as good as the choices we make in life.
PS....when you go wherever it is you deserve to go in the end, money is not a requirement....a loving heart and trying to make a difference instead of creating chaos is what many of us worldwide will take to the bank......

I'm not sure it's arrogance...but rather ignorance. I moved to America from Europe and am shocked to find out how few Americans have traveled abroad or have any idea what's going on in the world around them. A very large section of America presumes its the best country in the world because they don't knnow anything about any other....

King $hit is a nut case. You see it's the rich conservative people who always have this arrogant attitude, This country needs major changes in 08. Take a look at what's been done in the 9th ward of New Orleans-NOTHING. That is really sad and disgusting yes, and arrogent too as is this war in Iraq that was alie to begin with and anyone who doesn't bury their head in the sand knows this.

Well, we are better than France...that's for sure. Oh, and there is nothing wrong with being patriotic. Left, Right, Center, all have their patriots, so it's not a political thing. It is the affirmation of all the good we do, have done, and will do. It is a love of a country who has granted us unprecedented freedom and wealth, and given freedom to so very many others. Because we are proud does not make us bad. It just makes us Americans. That being said...God Bless America!

You have to consder the source and try not to group an entire nation based on the views of one clown. In the US there are groups such as the KKK, but that doesn't mean by any stretch of the imagination that all Americans are racists.

Americans live in a haze of ignorance and stupidity. They are fat, lazy, very dumb and prone to violence at the drop of a hat. It is all arrogance and at some point in time they need to wake up. I should know I am american and I don't like the way life is progressing here

Don't worry we don't think you are all like that but some of you do come across as very arrogant but as they say 1 bad apple spoils the bunch but I am sure most countries have some citizens they would like to forget.
