What works best for you.
There is no ONE effective way. Each person has their own particular strengths.
Check into "multiple intelligences" and "learning styles" or "learning modalities" if you are interested in finding out more about how you learn best.

I think that the most effective way of learning combines audio/ visual/ interactive/ written communication. This enables people of all learning styles to participate. For instance, you could show a video of someone giving a dog a bath and talking the instructions while the student is watching the video, you could also give a written description of what is being done, and then lastly having the student demonstrate their learned skills by giving a dog a bath.

The most effective way for learning according to me is that bua a book for that, ask the person who know that then go through the illustrations. Then at end make practice.

Glurpy is right, it all depends on what your particular learning style is. Whether you are audio, visual, reading & writing or kinesthetic. You have to find out what is best for you and how you best learn the information that is given to you. Like I am not an auditory learner, i can't remember info just listening to my teacher talk, so i have to write down what he/she is saying or draw pictures to coordinate with the subject.
