Of course you can, If the only reason you want to play soccer is to become a professional and make money, then you'd need to be ready to do ALOTTTTTT of work. but if you want to play soccer for the same reason as most people (to have fun) then you should play for a real team. i quit my club team like 3 years ago, and played alot at school. but now i'm back into soccer, and i REALLY regret quitting because now i'm 16, and i only have like 2 years to play in the club for fun. So you should really start playing now. If you want to, just play, it doesn't matter if you suck, because it'll give u good excerise and you'll make alot of new friends. NOW GO OUT THERE AND PLAY!

I've played soccer since i was like 9 or 10 but i've seen people start at 15. I play ayso so its not like you have to make a team you just go and play in a league. anyway he started this year and made the all stars. we went to state games and he was the second best defender on the team and one of the better in the tourney (so good i called him spiderman lol) in any case you can start and if your good at learning new things you can pick it up and get really good really quick.

if you like it go for it. i would check with you're local parks and rec department and see if they have a team available for you're age group (U15 or U16) because they tend to focus more on skill development and having fun than winning. (which personally is the way I think it should be) i started playing when I was about 7 years old and tried out for the school team from 8-12 but didn't make the team until 10-12. the important thing to remember is just to go out and do you're best, and above all have fun.
if you have to "try out" for the town team it's probably a competitive team designed to help players make the school team so I would seriously try to find a developmental team. (I don't doubt that you have the basic skills but there's more to soccer than most people think)

You probably have another 70 or so years left in your life to play soccer, so of course it's not too late! You could play it as a hobby but odds of getting into pro leagues like on tv aren't very likely to happen..

Well you can register for a local team it is never too late to start. You should also try out for the high school team you have nothing to lose in trying. A great man must not be afraid to fail my friend.
