we say 'It's colder than hell outside' when isn't it realistically always colder than hell since hell is supposed to be fire and brimstone?

in keeping with your theory, anything under 800 degrees would be colder than hell :)

It won;t always be colder than hell. because in the summer it's hot as hell.

It's just a saying that catches on with the times. It's better than saying, "It's cold as ice out here!" or "It's colder than my freezer out there!" You know?

Well technically, there is a place called Hell, Michigan and it gets cold, but right now I think where i am is WAYYYYYYYYY colder....

i know. i always wondered that. im going to look at your awnsers. and isnt hell, like a lake of fire? how is that cold. or maybe, you know how when the water is so hot it's cold...
