I like books, history, and biography, and I'd like to read a good book about Napolean. But most are too long, too scholarly, too much. I want a "quick read". Any suggestions?

There are many sites on Napoleon, including many on his alleged poisoning before his death.

Possibly the best start is here as this site provides links you can follow and choose what you want.

The Letters of Napoleon to Josephine by Diana Reid Haig (2005)

It's only 200 something pages and I figure you can't get to know a man better than by his own hand.
