Question Details: I'm doing a presentation on social workers. I needto knowwhat education you need, salary,responsabilitys, perosnal experience(what you like and what you don't like about social work) and the perspective employement rate for the future..........like 2008- 2010.......and basically anything you can tell me about this career.

Wow the last person is quite ignorant. I'm not going to give you everything I know but I'm in my last year in Social Work, Honors Program. Basically the most common known jobs are Child Protective Services, (if you have a Masters) in Hospitals, Counsellors, Welfare workers, and Probation Officers.

Well, I have known a couple of people who were social workers. They tend to be people who are untrainable in any productive field, but are trainable to become a government employee that does this type of work. Just above the Sheltered Workshop.
