It will do her no good to take a second morning after pill. The pill is only effective if it is taken with in 72 hours of the deed. Its not harm full it just will not work. If she is PG plan b will not change that. The way plan b works is it does not allow the egg to implant its self to the uterus wall their for the egg. If it can't attach to the wall it will be excreted form the body. And she would not be PG. It the pill was taken too late it will not do any thing. So again if it has been more than 72 hours its too late. for more info see this website it will tell you everything you wnat to know.

When she got the Plan B she should have been given 2 pills - one she took right away and the other 12 hours later. After using plan B she could get her period one week early or one week later than it would normally have come.

If plan B did not work then it is too late to use it again. Plan B is only effective in preventing fertilization and/or implantation of a fertilized egg. Plan B cannot abort an egg that has been fertilized and attached to the lining of the uterus.

If you had another condom failure then it is okay to take another Plan B, however, if the last one didn't work than there is a risk of harm to the fetus. Maybe consider an alternate birth control method if the condoms are not working for you. Plan B is for emergency use - not as regular birth control.

I CANNOT stress this enough. Please have your girlfriend go on birth control, if she doesn't want her parents to know, go to Planned Parenthood, its confidential! If your in a committed relationship and have sex on a regular basis have your g/f go on birth control.
If she is already pregnant the morning after pill is not effective. I have taken it and I ended up not being pregnant. Semen lives inside the vagina for 5 days, therefore if the sperm has NOT fertilized the egg immediately, the morning after pill is effective, if the egg HAS BEEN fertilized Plan B WILL NOT terminate the pregnancy or stop it, it coulod harm the baby though. Call the local Planned Parenthood and they will explain it to you if this is confusing.
Please have your gf go on the pill, if shes not comfortable with the pill or is forgetful there are other options like the nuva ring or the patch. If your g/f gets pregnant and it was not planned, thats a huge deal and your better off using birth control other than JUST condoms. This is real **** and nothing to mess around with. Condoms can be risky, birthcontrol is very important and will make both of your sex life more comfortable and less stressful. Take my word for it me and my boyfriend figured it out the hard way!!!!!!!!

The proper way to take after morning pills is one tablet within 72hrs of intercourse and a second tablet 8hrs after the first. Thus there is no point in taking it 5 days after the intercourse...it wont work. As for her period...when is she expected to get it? She should still get it around the same time but after morning pills can cause it to come earlier or even later. If she does not get her menses 3 days after the expected due date...get a pregnancy test kit for her...its the only way to be sure if she is pregnant or not.
For your last question, the maximum no. of after morning pills that can be taken a month is 4 tablets. She wont get so much side effects if she dont exceed that. If there is frequent unprotected sex, its much safer for her to go conventional contraceptive pills like Yasmin or Diane. Hope that clarifies.

I would not take another pill;that would be a bad idea because she could have major side effects.

For the second question, I do not know what would happen. I would just wait a few more days to see if her period comes. If it doesn't, have her take a pregnancy test. Also, if she is stressed out over this, that will delay her period from coming for up to a week.

First of all if you are having sex regularly she needs to be on birth control pills. Morning after pills are for once in a while accidents and are not meant to be used as a birth control method. I THINK the morning after pills are about 75% effective if taken properly.IT HAS TO BE TAKEN WITHIN THE FIRST 72 HOURS OF UNPROTECTED SEX. Anything after that wont do any good. The morning after pill isnt just one pill taken once. Is she taking it right? You really should seek a clinic and get her on the pill if ya dont want a baby. Hope it is not too late. Be careful out there. GOOD LUCK!!!
