There is no proven way to avoid stretch marks other than not gaining a whole bunch of weight. Eat really good meals and remember that you are not eating for 2. I have only gained 23 lbs since I got pregnant and I am 34 1/2 weeks now and I have no stretch marks.....yet! I eat alot of fruits and veggies and the proper amounts of fats and sweets.....which is not a whole lot. I do use Palmers Cocoa Butter lotion on my belly and it gives me false hopes, but my doctor said stretch marks are pretty much genetic, and my mom didn't get them real bad so....My advice is get and exercise ball and do some stretching and alot of walking. ALOT OF WALKING!!!!

you should talk to your doc about what you can do to exercise, but do alot of walking and swimming, thats good for you, eat healthy, but dont starve your self, thats not good for you or the baby, drink lots of water.
for stretch marks there is no way to avoid them, if your gonna get them, you will. but you can use lotions to help take the red out of them... i dont use them tooooo much because my belly is still growing so its not makeing them much lighter, BUT, i use coca butter or shea butter, not everything works for everyone, so if you use something and dont see results after a while maybe try something else, maybe a different brand or something.
im 37 weeks right now and i just started getting stretch marks 3 weeks ago.
btw about 2 years ago i gained some weight and got stretch marks on my hips, within 3 weeks i got them all to turn white just by useing the coca butter lotion, and this suave coca butter shower gel that i got at target, for like 2 bucks. it worked very well for me. :) i plan to use that after the baby...
good luck

Ask your doc. about pregnancy safe exercises and stretches.
As for stretch marks, I was a lucky one with all three preg. and didn't get any. Make sure you put lotion on, Sorry I can't spell it better but coacoa butter cream I've heard works the best.

Stretch marks you can't aviod. THEY ARE HEREDITARY!!!!!!!
The lotions only make the marks lighter in color but does not help get rid stretch marks or prevent it.
