I can't deny that it is fun to give advice or voice my opinion. I think some of the questions here are pretty strange, others are hysterical. The questions that really puzzle me though, are actually the serious ones that sound sincere. I understand that some people can't talk openly about some things, but do you also think it strange that people are getting advice on their families from complete strangers that may be 10 or 80? I know everyone is entitled to an opinion and I think some of these younger people have solid minds, but do you think answers to questions on leaving one's significant other or keep a baby, etc. should be taken seriously. Do you ever wonder if you are giving sound advice based on the limited facts you are given?

The way you put it, yes, people do often ask about major life changing suggestions, but usually give limited information. Even if they give a lot of information, strangers through the Internet still likely wouldn't be able to make sound advice as you put it. I'm not sure if they use Yahoo! Answers as a serious source for such major life suggestions or not.

Thus, it's the reason why I never plan to ask such a serious question at a site like this (or most of the Internet for that matter).

I think that you are correct that everybody is entitled to an opinion. I think that a forum like this is a valuable resource and a truly intelligent person is going to listen to the advice given then weigh it before applying the advice given. May times all a person needs is to hear what they are already thinking voiced by someone who isn't biased or has a personal stake in your decision.

I think it makes perfect sense. You get ideas from A very large cross section, And that can be help full in forming your own decision. The ones that get me are the medical questions where you would hope anyone would now you need to see A DR. I mean if I am having chest pain I am calling 911 not logging onto Answer yahoo to ask what you think

Yep! The young ones and the young once seems to have some defining fine lines in giving out their opinions but on second thought why not leave it as it is... honest opinion is better than philosophical opinion in some sort of ways.

I think that people are probably getting advice from other sources also, but this can give them a random view from a wide variety of people, and its easy for them to open up with things that they may not be ready to discuss with their friends or family yet.
