hello everyone, I´m in college and for this term I have to choose a couple of optative subjects, all of them are about arts and handcrafts but I´m still not sure which ones are the best some options are: batik, ceramic making, Scenic Makeup, Ballroom Dancing, musicology,ethnic-musicology.

Which ones should I choose??.

Ceramics is a great class, it can be a great stress reliever and it's just fun. Personally I would also like to take the Batik class, that is such a great expressive art as well. But the Ballroom Dancing would be a great way to get in some excercise and credit at the same time.

Ceramics is fun, as long as you don't mind getting dirty or playing with mud. The musicology classes sound kind of boring--I bet you'll have papers with those. The makeup class could be interesting--what is scenic makeup, anyway? The dancing class would be good exercise, and I have no idea what batik even is. If it were me, I'd go with ballroom dancing--I'm an art major, so I have to take two semesters of ceramics, anyway (and the first was as fun as I thought it'd be).

Think of it this way. When you get out of college, which one of these things would you most likely use later on in life? Are you into ceramics? Do you like dancing? Are you into music? Try to rate each one. I always tried to do the things that I could possibly use later if I wasn't sure. Only you know you're lifestyle. If you are content to sit and make things then pick the ceramic or batik. If you are a designer then try batik. If you are more of a fancy person and think that dance will go far with you then do that. If you are deeply into music and stuff then go that way. You gotta do what you like. It's kind of a "fun" subject that they are giving you. If that doesn't help then try to figure out what you will get out of each one and go with that. good luck with college.

Oh man, tough choice, they all sound great. Depends what else you are studying and what you are interested in but I personally would either go for ballroom dancing or ceramic making. Find out if there are enough guys doing ballroom dancing to make it worth while, it's a bit depressing if you have a class full of girls.

I'd say ballroom dancing and ceramics
Dancing is good exercise, stress reducing, and it's not as easy as you would think. Ceramics would teach you how to use your hands to create art - but not as much talent needed as compared to painting or drawing.

Fun choices!

I'd select ballroom dancing because it's something you'll never regret taking, and, it's something most women wish they'd taken... specially during wedding time!

Take a good long look at the courses offered. Do you want to work with your hands and brains or just your brains.
