I am taking my sister ( She's 26 years old) to Disney World in September. We are tossed between staying at Disney's Pop Century Resort or Disney's All Star Music Resort. Which would you recommend and why? If you have stayed at either please explain what you liked or disliked about it please. We are so undecided.

Wow - how nice of you! You'll both have a great time - especially in September. That is a great time to visit because the weather will be warm but not awful and the crowds will be low, especially toward the end of the month.
Disney's Pop Century is the newset hotel on Disney Property. However, it is identical in room layout to the rest of the All Star Resorts. Also keep in mind that Pop Century may be newer, but the rest of the All Star - particularly music, was completely refurbished in late June of 2007.
My preference is the All Star Music. The Pop Century has a fun theme, but it is located out by itself. At least the All Star Music is walking distance to Movies and sports and a variety of different pools. The All Star Music also has the coolest pool. It is shaped like a guitar and has the three amigos in the center, spewing water from their guns. I've stayed at All Star Music a few times. My husband used to lifegaurd the pools there. They are always kept at a balmy 82 degrees!

I agree with the others about upgrading if you possibly can. But if you can't, ASM is a good choice. There are a LOT of little ones at the value resorts, so if you want a quieter room, try asking for something in the back, away from the pool and food court area. Most people want one up front, so that shouldn't be a problem. And I will say that the bus service at the all star resorts seems to be more efficient than at the moderate resorts. Have great time! I'm there in 98 days!

I'd upgrade too. For about $20 more a night- Caribbean Beach and Coronado Springs are a lot nicer!!! I once stayed at the AllStar Music resort not realizing it was the National High School Cheerleader Competition at Disney. The $69 we paid was not worth the 69,000 cheers we heard ALL NIGHT!!! For $89 you can sleep in better accomadations and a little more peace so you have the energy to walk the parks!

I've stayed at Pop Century and I thought it was nice. It's got a great grab and go area (for food) and a nice gift shop area. I also like the lobby when you're checking in...they have all these cool decade picture boxes w/ stuff I haven't seen in years! It IS a ways out there from all the other places, but it doesn't matter because you get to sit in an airconditioned bus and let someone else do the driving!

I would not stay at either, they are dumps. If you can afford more I would suggest The Polynisian or Contemporary, but honestly since she is 26 I would do Universal over Disney, Great night life on site, Stay at the Hard Rock Hotel, and the rides at Universal are more Adult fun oriented. I have 4 kids and have spent so much time at Disney that if I see that damn mouse one more time I am going to deck him!

I would splurge a little bit and stay at the Port Orleans Riverside. It's a step up from the budget hotels there (it's considered moderate). We were there in September 2006 and got an Expedia.com deal where we only paid $103/night. It was fantastic.

It has a fabulous campus and you can take the water taxi to downtown disney. You have to take the shuttle bus everywhere else, but they run regularly.

Hello.

I've stayed at both. Most recently the Pop Century and of all the All star resorts, I think the Pop Century is the best. Go for it. Enjoy.

We stayed at the All Star Music and were very satisfied but there is one benefit to pop century...this hotel is set off by itself and therefor the buses which service it are far less crowded...All the all star hotels..Music, Sports and Movies share the same buses...no standing on the way back to the hotel with aching feet!! No matter what your choice they are all nice!! I wouldn't waist my money on an upgrade save it for food and souvenirs....if your like most people you wont be in the room enough for a bigger one to matter!!!

If cash isn't an item Bellagio is the nicest. It appears the high-quality and has the bigger amenities. In the top nevertheless it's all in most cases of a muchness, a lodge room is a lodge room and all of the ones you may have acknowledged might be regarded excellent houses wherever else on the earth - Las Vegas units the bar so prime that you simply turn out to be choosy whilst there quite is little need.

WDW - tons of information & maps..

I liked every resort, and I've been there 3 x in the last 3 years.
Yacht & Beach Club is my favorite - but expensive to stay there,
stayed at many others.

All rooms - throughout the parks are the same size, and the suites are the same size. - but vary in price depending on how busy they are.
I loved every place I stayed and I think I've been there about 10 x, and they are all great!

www.expedia.com
www.travelocity.com
both have package deals for this park.

GOD bless.
