I also need help with this one

(sqrt2y+7) +4 = y

And finally this one has me stumped as well

Thank you

sqrt (x+4) = 3...square both sides and subtract 4 to get x=5

sqrt(2y+7) + 4 = y...rearrange it to sqrt (2y+7) = y-4, then square both sides. 2y+7 = (y-4)². Expand it to get:
y²-8y+16 = 2y + 7
y² -10y + 9 = 0
(y-9)(y-1) = 0, so y=9 and 1

for the last one, sqrt(4x+1) = -3
so 4x+1 = (-3)² = 9
4x=8
x=2

√(x+4)=3 square both sides
x+4=9 subtract 4 from each side
x=5

√(2y+7)+4=y subtract 4 from each side
√(2y+7)=y-4 square both sides
2y+7=y^2-8y+16 subtract 2y+7 from each side
y^2-10y+9=0
(y-9)(y-1)=0
y-9=0
y=9
y-1=0
y=1

y=1, 9
