If a game box has the xbox live logo on it, it means that you can also play the game online via xbox live with your friends or other people around the world. You also need to sign up with xbox live and have an internet connection.

Maybe you would be better off to go to the Xbox live website.
All I know is that XBOX live is where you can play games with people that are playing the same game around the world via an internet connection or something ! Pretty interesting so you should read more into it.

XBOX Live is the online service they have. It allows you to play online and stuff. Basically all the XBOX 360 games have it because they have content that can be downloaded.
