how big is the drive to begin with? you could try cleaning the drive up. right click.open properties for your hardrive. click clean up.it should search then you can delete some things to free up space. you could also try installing some programs you don't need or want.you could also try a program called ashampoo winoptomizer.it has options to clean the drive of files and folders and other junk windows cant clean.and also you could defrag your PC after all that cleaning to see how much space you have after all that.

Hello Dudette,

9 GB isn't a lot now days. You can not do much with it. You need to think about a new computer.

Okay, with that said, if you have windows XP, you can turn off system restore. Right click on My computer, select properties, and then go to the system restore tab and turn it off. You will get back up to 12% of your hard drive space.

Empty your Temporary Internet Files often.

Do a search for *.tmp files and delete them. Do a search for any *.dmp files and delete them.

good luck.

try deleting the temporary internet files. Go to the Internet properties to do that. Try going to ADD and REMOVE programs, find programs u don't use, and delete them.

9GB is a pretty small hard drive, u might consider getting another one. These dayz their not too expensive. Try lookin for one on sale

good luck

Go to your computer's control panel. then remove/add programs and start deleting programs you don't use or need. once that is done, you can clean out all your temporarily inernet files by open up inernet explorer( or whatever browser you use) and go to tools->inernet options and delete all your cookies and files.
good luck
