Middle school and at least the first two years of high school, for a nice kid, are sometimes like walking on hot coals to prove that you're fit to be a grown-up. It hurts.

Seriously, talk to your parents about your worries (careful not to whine). Tutoring is money out of their pockets - they might hesitate for financial reasons, not because they're telling you to "buck up" because they're unsympathetic.

If you have a cell phone, try leaving it out of your room during study hours, to prove that you're not wasting time yakking.

Writing is a really important skill. See if the teacher holds after-school help once a week, or go to one of the counselors and ask if at a faculty meeting the subject of the English Department Head setting up a rotating schedule of once-a-week extra help can be arranged. (There are workbook sets that can be bought.) You can't be the only one suddenly having trouble writing.

There are also stores for teachers' supplies that anybody can go in that sell workbooks for every conceivable skill, which is no fun when you're having trouble keeping up with the regular school work.

One last word. The most successful people, and the happiest people in the world were not all A students. It's perfectly okay to be an A & B student. Excellent and Very Good are Just Fine!!!
You need to develope other parts of your Self, too.

It's to late to stress over the stuff that is going on for tomorrow and Friday. Just hope for the best. Let's look to see what you can do for the future. Study, do your home work and ask questions if you don't understand something. Ask for extra credit.Ask your teacher for help, a tutor, or after school help.

Don't stress out so much that you forget that there is still time to do better. I will be going to high school next year so I understand how you feal. You should always remember that odd year grades are harder than even years, and the first tri-mester is the easy one. Strive for all a's or even just all b's. study and do your best. You could ask the teacher for extra help in writting if you need it.
best wishes

why dont you discuss with your parents the possibility of getting a tutor. If you come to them with your concerns instead of just waiting for them to find out, they will probably be a little less harsh with you. It will show that you are serious about changing how you have been acting, and will probably lead to a little bit more trust in you.

study for the tests-they r more important than the quizes & see if you can find a tutor (don't stress out too much, 7th grade was hard for me too)
