I love watching all the crazies as much as anyone, I haven't laughed this hard EVER, but I would like to see more people with talent. Does anyone agree?

What annoys and puzzles me is that there are so many talented people to see and hear, but the programs are full of people who make a mockery of their performances. Obviously, they could be screened out and we could see real performers at least most of the time. I think most people would prefer to see serious singers/ dancers, etc. I can't figure out why the network execs don't get that. I think the network execs think they are keeping TV dumb enough for everybody, but it makes them look like they are the dummies. Put some talent out there, for pete's sake. All those new talent shows are infected with the same stupid bug that brought us Jerry Springer. I seldom waste my time watching that. More's the pity, because I'm not seeing the ones who do have talent. :(

Reality television is losing its touch. Instead of searching for actual talent they are just bringing us entertainment. Talented young people are being rejected when they should be showing the world what they've got and actually succeeding in life. I think that shows like Idol are nothing but entertainment and have absoloutly no right to say they are bringing talent into the world.

I like it the way it is simply because if you have people who are already groomed and talented then itll just end up being another singing variety show. They may not be supertalents but it gives the regular people a shot at it. Thats what makes it fun.

I DO! More Top singers.....granted the singers are good through the stages with music accompaniment, but to hear them sing songs they know without it!!!!!! MORE!!!
