We saw it with the race riots in Notting Hill in the late 50's; again when the English turned on the Irish in England following the mainland bombings. There was a backlash to the poll tax.
The English are normally a placid nation, but they can only take so much.
My personal belief is that politicians have wrecked this country, and are turning it into something it was never meant to be.

is this a raciest question because i am English and proud to be but i am all for a multy racial country i do feel we are not aloud to be English though . we have to be called British Scottish people are aloud to be Scottish Irish Welsh are to only English are not aloud to be.

It's not a matter of it being generally English, but more specifically towards ignorant fools who have it coming, and deserve it. Be them English or not.

I HAVE BEEN THINKING RECENTLY THAT THERE ARE GOING TO BE SOME MORE RIOTS, LIKE THE GOOD OLD MINERS RIOTS AND BRADFORD IN THE EIGHTIES, AND WHO CAN FORGET MAGGIES EFFORTS ON THE POLL TAX RIOTS. IT DOES FEEL AS THOUGH SOMETHINGS GOING TO KICK OFF GOOD AND PROPER ONE OF THESE DAYS.
