You should try to excersise for at least the minutes a day and make sure that you always do stretches before excersising and dancing. Ask you dance instructor for a chart with a range of stretches suited to your needs.

Do stretching exercises, concentrate on posture, make sure you have the right clothing and shoes for the type of dancing you are going to be doing. Have fun! :)

start stretching! Do a few stretches once or twice a day. It'll make it a lot easier once you start stretching during class. A hot bath is good for sore muscles. Also work on your posture and balance

Ten minutes stretching with a soft music, then ten minutes of exercises focused on the muscles you are going to use, few seconds more of soft stretching and, once you are hot, start.

get well, fruits, veggies, and meat and carbs,
learn stretching exercises, walk a lot and then jog some to build endurance, and practice breathing while moving and exercising. go to lesson with a open mind, put your heart into it, feel it and have fun with it...
