it is quite possible that you might but your body is its own thing it goes on horemones and your could be different then your mothers. there are also medication like the pill that could regulate your period if you do get an interesting cycle like your mother.

I think so, I know my mothers side of the family has really painful menstural cycles and they blessed me with it
