I wish you'd mentioned how long you've had your IUD. I LUV mine, I must say. That first month or so was annoying with "the period that will never end", but after that I've had no problems. I've had it for a few years now. Mine is the Paraguard IUD.
I've not had mine removed yet, so I can't answer with any sort of experience that part of your question. But I just wanted to say if you've only had it for a couple of months try giving it a bit more time.
(And if you want another baby, I daresay taking out the IUD will hurt a heck of a lot less than pushing a human being out of your body!)

i guess it all depends how many times ur doctor has tooken and put one in i guess also how short the string is ...if its long then you got nothing to worry about but if its short then you do ...my mother had it a few years back and now wants another baby but she hasnt been able to get pregnant....she had to have someone pick her up from the doctors office because the doctor pinched her uterus and she fainted while he told her to get dressed so it all depends be very cautious.....i hope this helped

For me, it was much more uncomfortable going in than coming out. I didn't like the side effects either. 13 days periods!

Not painful at all. You might feel a little tug and some cramping.
