If A=1/2H(B+b) [get rid of the1/2]
then 2A = H(B+b) [move the multiplication across -- it becomes a division]
therefore 2A/(B+b)=H
e.g. 12=1/2x6x(3+1)
then 2x12=6x(3+1)
therefore 2x12/(3+1) =6
hope that makes it easier to follow.

Assuming it should read A = H(B+b)/2...
2A = H(B+b)
so 2A/(B+b) = H
